Maths

Supportive maths resources can be found here that help build on the early foundations and skills in maths. The number cards could be cut out and muddled up so your child can re-order them from the smallest value to the largest. You could also use them simply for number recognition and place counters on a number read by you to ensure your child has recognised it. These numbers could be put together to make larger values to challenge your child. You could use them to compare 2 or more different numbers to determine which has the biggest or smallest value by focusing on how many tens or ones a number has.

The clocks are useful in supporting your child in becoming confident in an essential everyday skill in telling the time to support them in becoming increasingly independent in their own personal organisation skills in the future.

The number formation resources will support your child in ensuring that numbers are written and presented correctly as they begin to record calculations.
